Some users may have noticed that the legacy yearly subscription price has changed to $364.99/year. This price is not intended to be an actual active subscription offering.
Because there are still existing subscribers associated with the old yearly subscription product, the product cannot be fully deleted from App Store Connect. Instead, the price was intentionally increased to prevent new subscriptions and renewals on the discontinued yearly plan.
The annual subscription model was discontinued because it became difficult to confidently guarantee uninterrupted long-term service and support over a full year period. A few months ago, server-side issues caused several days of service interruption, and that experience led to reconsideration of long-term prepaid subscriptions.
The current subscription option is a weekly plan priced at $0.69/week. The goal is to keep pricing flexible and fair so users can stop subscribing at any time if the service no longer meets expectations or if technical issues arise, instead of being locked into a long annual commitment.
The app does not require user accounts, does not collect subscriber email addresses, and does not track personal user information. Because of this privacy-focused design, there is no direct way to email all subscribers about subscription changes. Updates and discussions have been posted in the Discord community, though it is understood that these announcements may not reach every subscriber.
